Gurpreet's Story
I understand that health and safety concerns are different for each person. What we talk about is personalized for each person’s situation.
Gurpreet is the primary caregiver for her husband, who lives with Parkinson’s disease and dementia. She is currently in hospital recovering from surgery after a fall that resulted in a broken hip. While she is hospitalized, additional support is needed to care for her husband.
Their adult daughter, who works full-time, has been helping, but the situation is becoming increasingly demanding. When she returns home, both Gurpeet and her husband will need ongoing support. Gurpreet has expressed her intention to resume driving when she feels ready, which is a source of concern for their daughter.
